I've been a total slacker as far as this Web site goes. I was far more motivated
to keep this site updated when we were actually making tangible progress every
weekend. You know, getting stuff accomplished. For over a year now, we have
been saying to people when asked about the house, "We're pretty much
finished." Well, now that it is June 2009, for God's sake, I figured
it was time to finish up this Web site, too. I hope you enjoy it.

Cool cabinets purchased for the garage at Second Chance Salvage in Baltimore.

Zero gravity reclining lawn chairs. And a place to hang them, of course.

Bases for the nightstands in the guest room, also from Second Chance Salvage.

Awesome headboard, custom made for me by Mike, to my exact specifications.
He made the tops for the night stands, too. I made the quilt.

Same stuff, different angle.

The rug you see peeking out from under the bed is a hand-braided rag
rug that my great grandmother made for my parents as a wedding gift in 1959.

Mike installed a dog door! Now the dogs can come and go as they please.
Sadly, this is one of the last pictures taken of CeCe. Her body gave out
in November after a long fight with liver cancer. She would've been 12
this year. We still really miss her. She was cremated and we spread her
cremains in all of her favorite spots at the WV place.

A piebald deer. They're actually fairly common.

Mike installed windowsills. They make a really big difference.

Not only do they look nice, it gives me a place to set stuff.

The welcome mat is out. Now we just need some visitors.
