Have you noticed a theme in this year's posts? We haven't been
doing a whole lot of work. Mike's done little things here and there,
but neither of us could bring ourselves to do the one big thing that
needed to be done... installing the cover on the fascia board.

We've really, really enjoyed relaxing on weekends instead of playing laborers.

The fascia is the bare wood along the roof line.

Note the unfinished look.

All that bare wood to cover. Ugh.

One thing we decided to do was add a screened door.

Mike is staining it before hanging.

Since we really, really did not want to do that fascia
work, we decided to pay someone else to do the job.

See how much nicer it looks?

Now it is starting to look finished.

Much nicer, eh?

No more construction zone living.

Mike hung the screened door.

He did a little caulking, too.

Here's what the new door looks like from the inside.

Here's what the house looks like from the outside.
There's just one thing that needs to be done.

Mike did the last bit of work needed before we could say,
"It is finished." He painted the door.

So, know what?

The house is finished!
The Kirkpatricks' WV Place is now complete!

Now we can use it for what it was meant to be used for, relaxing
with family and friends and as a base for our motorcycle trips.
