Since we're done most of the really big stuff, it is getting
harder to come up with appropriate titles for these pages.
I know "Miscellany" is lame, but that is all I could think of.

Mike is "helping" me hang curtains.

Hanging the rods is, of course, the first step.

He's just fastening the rod into place here.

Straightening the curtains was my job. Did I mention that
the curtains were custom-made? I made them myself. The
material was actually a tablecloth I bought at HomeGoods.

The new curtains make the place feel cozier than ever.

It feels more and more like a real house every time we visit!

After the excitement of hanging the curtains,
(or watching Mike!) it was back to drywall finishing.

I spent most of the day on Saturday doing drywall finishing in the spare bedroom
and hallway. Mike was in the attic insulating ductwork and the plenum (big metal box
at the end of the air handling unit). I have to use words like that every now and then
on my site so he knows I do pay attention when he talks to me. When I had had quite
enough drywall for the day, I moved into the main house and cleaned the kitchen.

Mike's first chore on Sunday was installing an electrical outlet in the back
of the hood, which is where we hang the TV. It is a space-saving design.
I complimented his choice of attire for the day ... he matched the kitchen!

I did the last bit of drywall work on Sunday morning before heading
outside to clean leaves out of the gutter beside our driveway. That
will keep our driveway from washing away (hopefully), although we still
need to get some gravel work and re-grading work done.

While I was outside, Mike was in the house
scrubbing and waxing the kitchen floor.

See how nice and shiny?

I have a few small, finishing touches to do to the drywall
in the spare bedroom and hallway, but next weekend those rooms
will be painted!!! Then we can start moving furniture in. Woo hoo!!!

Except, uh, we don't have any furniture to move. But we do have the nice,
big trailer to facilitate some big shopping excursions.
