About last weekend... Mike was here with the dogs while I was off on my
annual girlfriend getaway in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He had hopes of completing
installation of the heating system, but there was a problem. I keep telling
him to admit that he just cannot function properly without me...

Getting the heat to work was the primary goal. This thermostat isn't
the best. In fact, it is going to be replaced. But the heat does work.

The heating system. The small propane bottle is only
temporary. Once we get the kitchen gas lines connected,
the gas system will be considered operational.

While Mike was working on the heating system, I was doing
some cleaning and painting the inside of some cabinet doors.
You'll have to take my word for that, because I didn't ask
Mike to take any pictures of me while I was working.

Mike also installed the decorative column caps.

The columns look a bit more final now.
They still need to be painted. We can't decide
whether we are going to add railing or not.

Mike also connected the exterior power outlet.

Next weekend we will be hanging drywall. Oh boy!
